Synopsis
College graduation is just days away, so Sarah, Brad, and Mike want to celebrate together one more time by throwing a house party at their place. They’ve invited a ton of people, including their friends Cara and Kyle – the only problem is, Kyle and Sarah used to be inseparable best friends, but they haven’t spoken in months. It’s going to be awkward.
And it is. Kyle’s arrival is not exactly welcomed unanimously, and even though Brad and Mike try to reign him back into the spirit of the night, he can’t help trying to clear the air with Sarah while still dancing around the heart of the matter – he’s in love with her.
After a few attempts to talk with her fail spectacularly, she shows him the door. But they find someone waiting on the other side of it, sobbing, screaming hysterically, and covered in someone else’s blood.
When they finally calm her down, they learn her name is Brooke and that her boyfriend was brutally attacked by something on the front walkway. Soon after, one of the party guests is mutilated right outside the back door, and two things become clear: something is circling the house, and no one is safe.
From there the friends do their best to keep their party guests inside at all costs while calling for help and failing to receive any, until finally everyone but the core group insists on bailing on the party and heading their separate ways into the darkness outside. When they then lose Cara in a moment of false security, Kyle confirms Brooke’s claims that a werewolf is stalking the house.
The situation gets even worse when they are boarding up doors and windows and the beast manages to break in just enough to bite Mike before they force it away. He collapses in bed, his friends taking care of him while simultaneously preparing to fight the monster outside with anything they have on hand.
But then they learn the curse doesn’t actually wait until the next full moon to take effect – Mike transforms in his room while the werewolf outside breaks in upstairs, and as the monsters converge on them the remaining friends flee deeper into the house in a desperate attempt to survive.
By the end of the night, only Sarah and Kyle remain, the latter having been bitten just before they finished off the original werewolf. As they finally confess their feelings for one another, consider the meaning of Kyle’s wound, and hear police knocking at the front door, the dead werewolf transforms back to its human state. It’s at this moment they discover that this night has just become more horrific than they could have ever imagined.
Stay inside.
